Sending a text message from the U.S. to your international friends has never been easier. All you have to do is determine if the non-U.S. mobile number you are trying to send a message to is accessible through a participating international carrier. Then simply create your message and send.
1. Find the country code and participating carrier for the non-U.S. mobile number you want to send the text message.
2. Send the text to the number as if you were making an international call.
3. If you run into problems, confirm that the recipient is using a participating carrier.
While traveling in the U.S.,Canada, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico text messages sent to non-U.S. phone numbers of participating carriers will not be applied against any monthly text messaging allowance and are charged the following:
- $0.25/address sent
- $0.20/message received
Text messages sent to phone numbers in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico are charged domestic rates per your plan.
