WHILE IN CDMA MODE


Calling when traveling in a NANP destination (including the U.S.), while in CDMA mode: 


  • Placing a call from a NANP destination (including the U.S.) to the U.S. (or any other NANP destination)
    • Pattern:   1 + Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example: 1 + 212 + 555-1212
      Note: For checking voice mail, dial your mobile number with the area code using the pattern above.
  • Placing a call from a NANP destination (including the U.S.) to another International destination  (non-NANP destination)
    • Pattern:   Roaming Country Exit Code + Destination Country Code + Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example: 011 + 44 + 1234+ 567890 (e.g. calling UK)
  • Placing a call from a NANP destination (including the U.S.) to a Domestic Local Number (within the International destination)
    • Pattern:   1 + Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example: 1 + 268 + 555-1212
  • Placing a call from a NANP destination (including the U.S.) to a Long Distance Number (within the International destination)
    • Pattern:   1 + Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example: 1 + 268 + 555-1212

Calling when traveling internationally in a non-NANP destination, while in CDMA mode:

  • Placing a call from a non-NANP destination to the U.S. (or any other NANP destination)
    • Pattern:     Roaming Country Exit Code + 1 + Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example:  00 + 1 + 212 + 555-1212 (e.g. calling U.S. from Taiwan)
      Note: For checking voice mail, dial your mobile number with the area code using the pattern above.
  • Placing a call from a non-NANP destination to another International destination (non-NANP destination)
    • Pattern:    Roaming Country Exit Code + Destination Country Code + Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example:  00 + 44 + 1234 + 567890 (e.g. calling UK from Taiwan)
  • Placing a call from a non-NANP destination to a Domestic Local Number (within the International destination)
    • Pattern:  Phone Number
    • Example:  123-4567 (e.g. calling domestic local number in Taiwan - within Hsin-Chu)
  • Placing a call from a non-NANP destination to a Domestic Long Distance Number (within the International destination)
    • Pattern:  Domestic Long Distance Code + City/Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example: 0 + 3 + 123-4567 (e.g. calling domestic Long Distance in Taiwan - from Taipei to HSIN-Chu)

WHILE IN GSM MODE


Calling when traveling internationally while in GSM  mode:


Depending on your device, press and hold "0" (or press and hold "*") to display the "+" symbol. (The "+" symbol automatically inserts the exit code for the country from which you are calling.)
  • Placing a call from a GSM destination to the U.S. (or any other NANP destination)
    • Pattern:   Roaming Country Exit Code + Destination Country Code + Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example:    "+" + 1 + 212 +123-4567
  • Placing a call from a GSM destination to another International destination
    • Pattern:     Roaming Country Code Exit Code + Destination Country Code + Area Code + Phone Number
    • Example:   "+" + 44 + 1234 + 567890 (e.g. calling UK)
