Dialing Instructions for CDMA

If you are roaming with your Verizon Wireless phone, or Global Phone in CDMA Mode, you can check your Voice Mail by dialing your Verizon Wireless phone number. Then interrupt your greeting by pressing # and follow the prompts to navigate through your voice mailbox. You will need to use the International Dialing Instructions format for dialing back to the U.S. from your current location.

Country Dialing Instructions:

Locally within South Korea:
Landline Example: 02-2121-2457
SKT Wireless Example: 011-9940-1752

International calls including back to the US:
002, 001, 00700, or 008 + Country Code + Area Code + Phone Number

Customers with EV-DO BlackBerry, EV-DO Treo, and EV-DO PDA Smartphone devices may now roam in South Korea by dialing *228 and selecting option 2 to obtain an updated PRL prior to international travel.

Non EV-DO voice handsets need to be manually updated with the South Korea PRL in Verizon Wireless Stores.

Non EV-DO types of BlackBerry, Treo, and PDA Smartphone devices cannot be used in South Korea.

Verify that you have the International dialing feature added to your calling plan by referencing My Verizon or dialing *611 (Customer Service).

Terms and Conditions

International Eligibility
International Eligibility requires a minimum payment history and credit approval; a contract term and security deposit may also be required. Failure to maintain these requirements may result in suspension of International Eligibility without notice. You can remove International Eligibility at any time by calling Customer Service. You are responsible for any unauthorized use of your SIM Card and will safeguard security codes.  Upon termination of service, destroy your SIM Card. See verizonwireless.com/global for details.

International Long Distance
You need International Eligibility to make international calls to most countries, but you can make calls to some North American destinations without it. Additional surcharges may apply when calling certain countries; see verizonwireless.com/global for details.

International Roaming
Some services, such as premium text messaging, directory assistance, entertainment lines and third-party services, may be available, and charges for these services will be billed (along with applicable toll charges) in addition to roaming rates. Message-waiting-indicator service is not available where Text Messaging is not available. When using Global Phone, or Global Data services, or if you subscribe to a Nationwide Plus Canada or Nationwide Plus Mexico Plan, and you’re roaming near country borders, calls may be carried by a cell site located in a neighboring
country and billed at that country’s rates.
